Liteplan was formed in 1994, with Bernlite becoming a preferred stockist in 1996, specialising in the design and manufacture of a wide range of emergency lighting conversion kits including a comprehensive variety of LED kits and devices.

NED Conversion KitsNED Conversion Kits

Liteplan’s NED emergency lighting conversion modules have been specifically designed to convert a wide range of LED types with just two stock items. The standard three cell NED/3 will be the natural choice for converting most standard LED luminaires and arrays, containing from 2 to 20 LEDs in series (6 to 55 Volts) whilst the NED/3/80 extends the voltage range, converting from 2 to 30 LEDs in series (6 to 80 Volts).

The NED range automatically adjusts the output LED current to provide the best match between the battery and the load, providing maximum illumination whilst ensuring full battery duration. The NED range is compatible with a wide range of lighting LEDs such as Philips Fortimo DLM, SLM and LLM ranges, Bridgelux LS/ES/RS ranges, Citizen 4-41W ranges, GE Infusion, Xicato and many others.

TED Conversion KitsTED Conversion Kits

A 3 hour emergency lighting conversion module designed to power suitable mains lamps (e.g. some GU10 & T8 LED tubes) and high voltage LED boards (50-250V DC). Check with Sales Office for compatibility. The TED automatically adjusts the output LED current to provide the best match between the battery and the load, providing maximum illumination whilst ensuring full battery duration.

NES Self-Test Conversion Kits

The Liteplan NES Self-Test emergency lighting module is designed to convert a wide range of LED types with two versions. The NES/3 is the popular choice for converting most standard LED luminaires and arrays containing from 2 to 20 LEDs in series, whilst the NES/3/80 extends the range by converting from 2 to 30 LEDs in series.

The NES module is fitting with a microprocessor Self-Test circuit which performs an installation commissioning test, a monthly functional test and an annual full three hour duration test in accordance with BS 5266.

A bi-colour LED is fitted to indicate that the battery is charging, the test status and any fault indication when appropriate.

The NES range automatically adjusts the output LED current to provide the best match between the battery and the load, providing maximum illumination whilst ensuring full battery duration. DSP/4 DALI ModuleDSP/4 DALI Module

The DSP/4 is a high quality 3 hour switchable maintained DALI LED Emergency Lighting Module designed to be mounted inside a luminaire and form part of any DALI compliant emergency lighting system. The unit is designed to power 1 LED at 700mA in Emergency mode and is supplied with a 4.8V 3Ah Nickel Cadmium Battery pack. If the unit is not connected to a DALI system, it acts as a Self-Test Lighting Module.

ELV 12V range:

ELV/12M Power Supply UnitsELV/12M Power Supply Units

A 12-Volt Non-Maintained Emergency lighting split pack unit to fit through a 57mm aperture of a mains voltage down lighter. Primarily designed to be used as an auxiliary conversion unit for luminaires where the existing lamps cannot be converted for emergency use i.e G.L.S., discharge lamps etc.

The unit is suitable for both 12 Watt Tungsten Halogen lamps and 12 Volt Constant Voltage LED lamps, up to a maximum 12 Watts, ie MR16 replacements and also some LED Strips.

All units are supplied complete with remote batteries, a 1m Green charge healthy LED indicator and mounting collar. All Non-Maintained units can be converted to Maintained use by using a remote or existing transformer

ELV/12A Power Supply UnitsELV/12A Power Supply Units

A purpose designed range of 12-Volt power supply units, designed to provide full output in emergency mode and, where required, normal mains lighting via integral or remote low voltage transformer.

ELV/12A/NC Power Supply Units

A 12-Volt non-maintained unit primarily designed, to provide 100% light output when interconnected to a 10 Watt tungsten halogen lamp. The unit is designed for use with G.L.S., discharge or other lamps that cannot be operated by normal emergency lighting.

These units are similar to the ELV/12A units but have been specifically designed to pass through the apertures of low voltage downlights. They are designed to provide full output in emergency mode and, where required, normal mains lighting via integral or remote low voltage transformer.

These units have the same specification as the ELV/6A units but have been specifically designed to pass through the apertures of low voltage downlights. They are designed to provide reduced output in emergency mode and, where required, 12-Volts for normal mains lighting via integral or remote low voltage transformer.

A purpose designed 6-Volt power supply unit, utilising Valve Regulated Lead Acid battery packs for the emergency supply, specifically designed to pass through an aperture of 72mm and for use within shallow ceiling voids. A 6-Volt power supply unit, utilising a Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack. The kit has been specifically designed to pass through an aperture of 60mm and to be installed within shallow ceiling voids. The unit provides reduced output in emergency mode and, where required, 12-Volt for normal mains lighting via remote low voltage transformer.

MM range:

A range of 3hr emergency lighting conversion packs that have been specifically designed and manufactured to suit a range of ‘mains voltage’ lamps. mPlease ensure that any lamps being run by these units are able to operate on DC.

A purpose designed split pack unit to fit through a 52mm aperture of a mains voltage downlighter. The unit has been designed to provide full output in emergency mode and, where required, normal mains lighting.

A more powerful version of the MMB unit, designed to fit through either a 70mm or 90mm aperture of a mains voltage downlighter. The unit has been designed to provide full output in emergency mode and, where required, normal mains lighting.

All Liteplan conversion kits are designed and manufactured to conform to the relevant emergency lighting product standard BS EN 61347-2-7 and all conversion work carried out at Liteplan meets the relevant requirements of BS EN 60598-1 (Luminaires Part 1:General requirements and tests) and BS EN 60598222 (Luminaires for emergency lighting) and all other relevant standards.
