Cerian
Modules provide maintained emergency operation for T8 lamps from 3, 4 or 5 cell NiCd batteries. Cerian modules are fitted with four pole relays to switch all four lamp connections from the ballast to the inverter. The ballast hold off relay switches the ballast off during an emergency lighting test.
Primian-1™
Modules operate a wide range of 4 pin fluorescent lamps and each module is fitted with a lamp optimisation link to ensure the best output and duration across the lamp range.
The 5th pole ensures satisfactory re-starting of HF ballasts after emergency lighting test function. The Primian-1™ modules are also fitted with a link to select 3 hour or 1 hour duration, with appropriate batteries. Built with Deep Discharge Protection as standard.
Primian-2™
SmartStart™ modules operate a wide range of 4 pin fluorescent lamps, and each module is fitted with a lamp optimisation link to ensure the best output and duration across the lamp range. The Primian-2™ SmartStart™ modules are also fitted with a link to select 3 hour or 1 hour duration, with appropriate batteries. (Not including AutoTest, which are supplied for 1 hour or 3 hour duration).
Advanze-1
The Advanze-1 range of modules are designed to run T5 lamps in emergency operation. The module can size is designed to fit in slim gear trays associated with linear lamps. The lamp range has increased with the use of the Mackwell Optimisation Lin™.
Advanze-2
This range of modules are designed to run T5 lamps in emergency operation. The Advanze-2 module is produced in extra low profile can and is designed to fit in slim gear trays associated with linear lamps. The Ballast Lumen Factor delivered by the Mackwell product range is commonly higher than those of our competitors.
This is a consequence of excellent product design and the utilisation of the Mackwell Optimisation Link™. The selection of the link alters the circuitry within the module thus enabling the module to run the widest range of lamps often with increased lamp performance. Built with Deep Discharge Protection as standard.
Relion
The Relion module is specially developed for 13 – 42 watt TEL, 24 – 54 watt T5, and 38 & 55 watt 2D amalgam lamps (Not suitable for latest 57 watt lamps). Surface Mount Technology for highest reliability. Available in AutoTest™, with DALI and Potential Free versions. Available in 1Hr or 3Hr duration. Built with Deep Discharge Protection as standard.
Micro Integrated
The Mackwell Micro Integrated module range is a combined high frequency ballast and emergency lighting unit capable of driving a wide range of lamps in both mains and emergency mode.
The Mackwell Micro Integrated Module will operate one compact or 2D lamp and utilises 3, 4 or 5 battery cells for these lamps (dependent upon the lamp and module combination), which are available as sticks or packs. The unit is designed to use common neutral switched and unswitched supplies.
The use of the latest Surface Mount Technology has enabled the original and highly successful Mackwell Integrated Module to be extended to enable the integrated approach to be used in a wider range of luminaires. Mackwell Extra High Temperature batteries should be used with this product range.

Small Integrated
The Small Lamp Integrated range is a combined high frequency ballast and emergency lighting unit capable of driving a single 6W or 8W T5 fluorescent lamp in both mains and emergency mode.
The unit is designed to use common neutral switched and un-switched supplies and is suitable for use with Mackwell Extra High Temperature 2 or 3 cell NiCd or NiMH batteries.

Integrated UniStart™ Module
A combined high frequency ballast and emergency lighting unit complete and ready to fit into a luminaire. The high frequency ballast operates the lamp in mains mode, until mains failure when the module operates the lamp in emergency mode.
The use of the latest surface mount technology has enabled the original and highly successful Mackwell Mini Integrated Module™ to be extended to enable the integrated approach to be used in a wider range of luminaires.

Nickel Cadmium D type – NiCd D
Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) type D cell 4Ah batteries have been developed especially for Emergency Lighting applications, designed to a high quality to provide a 4 year life as required by EN 60598-2-22 and ICEL1001, when operated within correct the temperature ranges.
The batteries are available in a variety of configurations and are supplied with red and black ‘flying lead’ wire assemblies with either shrouded spade terminals or 2-pin polarised plugs to allow simple push-in connection to our Emergency control modules. For quick and simple installation the batteries are provided with end caps or in some cases mounted on a metal plate.

“Sub C” Nickel Cadmium – NiCd C
NiCd C cells offer a reduced charge capacity to provide a smaller package with 1 hour duration.
Mackwell has a range of NiCd Sub C batteries available for use with our portfolio of emergency modules.

Nickel Metal Hydride – NiMh
Mackwell 4Ah Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) cells offer equal charge capacity to 4Ah ‘D Type’ Nickel Cadmium cells, but in a smaller package, enabling them to be used in smaller spaces.
They are available in both side-by-side and stick formats and provide 4-years life as required by BS EN60598- 2-22 and ICEL 1001, when operated within the temperature ranges specified below.
If the temperature ranges are exceeded, performance and operational life of the cells will be reduced. The batteries are supplied with tag connections and ‘flying lead’ black and red wire assembly to allow simple push in connection to our emergency modules.
We recommend a maximum storage time of three years at an ambient temperature of 25°C. If this is exceeded it will be necessary to complete three charge / discharge cycles to restore full working capacity. If you use a battery pack not supplied by Mackwell, you should ensure that it is correctly rated for the application. Batteries must be securely fixed either by their provided fixing points or end caps as supplied.

XY-FI – The world’s smallest emergency LED solution
XY-Fi is the world’s smallest emergency LED conversion system that has been designed to be easy to install whilst maintaining the original OEM luminaire design.
XY-Fi enables unobtrusive, seamless integration into a wide range of luminaires and despite only being Ø12mm, it still delivers a powerful light output during an emergency of greater than 6m spacings. XY-Fi has been hailed a leading innovation for OEMs and has been recognised at the DALI Product Awards and Lighting Design Awards.

XYLUX LR Recessed
The XYLUX LRC is suitable for use in central battery systems with nominal AC or DC supplies from 110V to 240V and includes a hold off input to inhibit the LED driver output when a local mains supply is connected.
The unit comprises an LED driver in a plastic housing, connected to a high power LED lamp head assembly by a 500mm wiring loom. The LED lamp head is designed for recessed mounting into a 42-44mm cut out. Discrete LED emergency lighting for Central Battery systems.

The XYLUX LR4 Non Maintained LED emergency luminaire comes complete with articulated control gear and suitable for both Open Area & Escape route distribution.
Each luminaire is supplied with two snap-in optics for open area and corridor distribution. This makes it suitable for use in multiple interior applications: corridors, stairwells; and open offices.
Each lamphead contains an integrated bi-colour indicator and test switch, 500mm wiring loom and recessed mounting brackets. This makes on–site installation quick and simple.
The XYLUX LR4 continues the new generation of LED Emergency luminaires designed to be effective and unobtrusive. Technology Options: AutoTest AT4, Potential Free, DALI.

The XYLUX LR6 is a non maintained LED emergency luminaire; designed to achieve 10.8Lux at up to 6 meters mounting height. The lamp head comes complete with articulated control-gear.
The LR6 complies with the US emergency specification of 1-foot candle lux levels. This is a requirement in many international projects. The distribution from the LR6 makes it suitable for interior high ceiling final exit applications. The integrated reflector and optic design maximises performance whilst complying to the 10.8 lux requirements

The XYLUX LR/A is the original LED emergency solution with AutoTest®. The LED driver and battery pack are housed in an articulated plastic housing, connected via a 500mm wiring loom to the lamphead assembly, which contains the high power white LED and indicator LED for emergency use only.
AutoTest® is offered as standard and DALI and Potential Free are also available.
The unit is recessed into a 42-44mm cut out using the mounting brackets provided.
The LED control gear has reinforced insulation between the supply and the battery circuit, and a battery charger with short circuit protection that will continue to operate when the short is removed.
